Now for a small interlude: Various drawings from various trips, recent or not.
Bazylika Mariacka in Kraków, February 2017, ink and pastel. I still haven’t figured out how to use pastel.
Hôtel des Invalides, September 2017, charcoal, gouache and indian ink on tinted paper.
The New Jewish Cemetery in Kazimierz, 2018. By then the thermometer had dropped to ‑10°C. They had chopped some tree down which felt a bit warmer (and more respectful) to sit on than stone would have.
Pan Vides, 2018, pencil and indian ink
Wawel, January 2018. Standing at the bridgehead in sub-zero temperatures I scribbled the last tower on the left quickly, fingers shivering, when I found the ink was freezing on the paper.
Kränzelstraße, Görlitz, 2018. The amount of details compared to the previous pictures is due to the fact that I sat on a cozy table behind a window instead of the stormy night (not depicted) outside.
